The Global Business & Technology Solutions organization is looking to fill a vacancy within the Infrastructure Support team’s 24x7 Operations control function. The successful candidate will interface with multiple disciplines, including Incident, Problem and Change Management, Platform Engineering, Network Operations, Storage Operations, Relationship Managers, Service Providers, vendors and various business contacts, in support of domestic and international locations. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide 24x7x365 onsite and remote coverage in the Operations Control Center (OCC)
  • Provide primary support for server infrastructure related incidents
  • Build, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot & support Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems called into the OCC (Sev1,2,3)
  • Answer customer inquiry/incident reporting hotline
  • Manage incident, problem and change queues as required
  • Maintain DNS, DHCP, AD and WINS (adds, deletes, modifies).
  • Manage Web application traffic utilizing F5 (adds, deletes, modifies)
  • Perform server infrastructure upgrades and expansions as required
  • Perform application releases as required
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and testing efforts.
  • Operational support of Websphere environment
  • Interact with internal groups and vendor support staff to troubleshoot problems and perform root cause analysis as required
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and protocols
  • Participate in projects as required
  • Create and update documentation relating to current and new team processes
  • Follow enterprise change and problem management procedures
  • Support on and off premise cloud offerings
  • Work independently as needed

Qualifications - the following skills are required:
  • Minimum 3 years supporting Windows and Linux Server environments
  • Experience building and supporting cloud servers (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills within the Windows environment
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows Server technologies - Active Directory, WINS, DNS, Windows Domain Controllers, as well as managing users and permissions
  • Understanding of virtual environments (VMWare/ESX)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly active, fast paced production environment, to meet critical deadlines and SLA's
  • Bachelor's Degree is a plus, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Understanding of F5 load balancing tool
  • Scripting/programming skills
  • Must be available outside of normal business hours to fulfill production and project deliverables as scheduled
  • Work schedule will be 12 noon to 8pm Mon-Fri (EST) with flexibility to shift start/end times on occasion
