The Branch Technology Infrastructure Strategist is responsible for collecting, developing and documenting technical roadmap for infrastructure components in use within Wealth Management branch environments. The candidate will be an ED level executive who will work within and across infrastructure and application Practice Area Groups who are strongly aligned with the business strategy. The candidates skills will span technical and enterprise solutions and they will provide complex deliverables outlining tactical and strategic requirements and standards for new or improved infrastructure assets.
This role works closely with WM Architecture, WM Integration Engineering, WM Application Development, WM Digital Strategy, Enterprise Infrastructure, Technology & Information Risk, and WM Legal/Risk/Compliance to document and drive solution requirements that meet complex business needs. The candidate must have skills and experience across the majority of the infrastructure areas. Technologies covered include but are not limited to those in the areas of End User Desktop (desktop/laptop hardware, OS, virtual, email), Networking (switches, routers, caching appliances, bandwidth, ISP offload), Telecom (voice, fax), Remote Computing (remote access, wireless, application virtualization, remote office technologies), Multimedia (Conference Rooms). Collaboration & Archive (Internal and External Social Media), Unified Communication (Internal and External Video, Softphone), Print, Etc.
Develop road maps describing evolution of infrastructure solutions from current to future state
Ensures solutions fit strategically in the overall infrastructure architecture and meet existing technology standards
Perform analysis of current environment to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement; recommend solutions and collaborate with infrastructure engineers to develop processes to implement changes
Research and design new infrastructure technologies, architectures and processes.
10 years in IT Infrastructure, preferably in Financial Services and specifically in Wealth Management Branch Environment
5 years' experience in both design and operations of Network, Storage, Compute, Security, Virtualization and Cloud systems.
Possesses knowledge across all disciplines of infrastructure systems.
Extensive experience in a Network Engineer role, preferably Senior level.
Experience in engineering and design in these areas; Routing Protocols, Layer 2, Routers, Switches, Datacenter connectivity, circuits, SDN, SD-Wan and Network Automation.
Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Netscaler, F5, NSX, ACI, SolarWinds, Client and WireShark a plus.
Experience with Visio, VMware, HyperV, Xen hypervisors.
Experience with cloud platforms
Experience with desktop platforms including Windows, Office Suites, Citrix, Netscaler, SCCM, developer tools.
