B Eaton’s B-Line Series is a leading manufacturer of quality support systems and enclosures for the electrical, mechanical and communications industries. Our product lines are manufactured in modern facilities throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and are used in a variety of applications in the commercial, industrial, utility and OEM markets.  


As the Inside Sales Manager, you will lead a team of highly talented quotations specialists to drive growth and shape the future of Eaton’s B-Line Series. Your responsibilities will include executing pricing strategies, driving revenue, ensuring profitability, and market penetration. This is a high visibility position, located at the division headquarters, which will lead critical interactions with internal (Sales, Finance, IT, Marketing, etc.) and external (manufacturing representatives, distributors, OEM’s) customers to help deliver a world class level of service.

Team Management:
  • Manage and motivate at least 10 employees, to ensure high-quality service is consistently provided at all times
  • Set clear and smart team objectives and evaluate performance against those objectives using the annual performance review process.
  • Coach and develop employees to build skills within the pricing organization
  • Build relationships with internal departments to provide and receive feedback on inside sales process
  • Maintain current awareness of market pricing trends and communicate recommended product-specific price level adjustments
  • Resolve escalations of pricing negotiations that occur between customers and the inside sales team

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Execute product line pricing strategies related to market share growth and profit targets
  • Accountable for maintaining profit margins and price realization
  • Proactively engage the Product Line Managers by providing recommendations on pricing authority levels 
  • Report metrics on a routine basis and address any deviations against plan to ensure performance exceeds expectations.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with corporate customers to ensure adherence to policies
  • Ability to do financial analyses
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations to determine project status, increase success rate, and measure win/loss ratios
Process Improvement:
  • Ensures business processes are clearly defined and communicated, resulting in customer satisfaction and cost control
  • Develop and champion process improvement projects
  • Manage all methods of non-stock pricing from quote initiation, through order processing and customer invoicing


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience is required
  • Minimum 2 years Inside Sales experience is required
  • Minimum 2 years experience leading a team of people is required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Highland, IL will be considered for this position
Position Criteria:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external customers via phone, e-mail and other written and verbal communication mediums.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience managing a team of 5+ direct reports is preferred
  • Knowledge of B-Line Products is preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP and Business Explorer is preferred
  • Background in Manufacturing or Distribution 
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical or datacom channels is preferred
