Role Responsibilities
  • Creating online MOOC style courses for employees and extended enterprise of Applied Materials.
  • Working with Subject Matter Experts across the company and help in knowledge capture and provide thought leadership on Instructional design. Develop learning objectives, map content, define activity types, and create assessment items.
  • The second part of the job is to act as program manager for integrated training initiative which requires proven experience as a Program Manager.
  • Strong project management skills to organize and manage multiple projects, including the ability to re-scale solutions as system, scope and/or timelines change.

Qualifications:
Desired Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree preferred with 3 year experience in instructional design, ideally with online course creation
  • Knowledge of training theories and principles, including adult learning theory and established industry models of evaluation. Knowledge of and ability to apply a consultative approach to determine training needs
  • Strong project management skills to organize and manage multiple projects, including the ability to re-scale solutions as system, scope and/or timelines change
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate with others when needed to ensure project success
  • Knowledge of and experience with training development methods, including needs assessment and instructional design for instructor-led, virtual, and online training
  • Knowledge of training theories and principles, including adult learning theory and established industry models of evaluation such as ADIIE, Kirkpatrick's model etc.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply a consultative approach to determine training needs. Strong collaboration skills to gather information from subject matter experts, generate ideas, and partner on development of training-related materials
