Robert Half Technology is looking for a Software Technology Trainer. Our client is seeking a qualified candidate for a Software Technology Trainer to join their IT team in the Las Vegas office. This candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting general and legal-specific training programs for the law firm's attorneys and staff utilizing classroom, online learning, and individualized training forums, as well as acting as a subject matter expert for all of the law firm software applications. RESPONSIBILITIES: •Continuously advance knowledge of and ability to use all of the firm's software including Office 2016, Windows 10, Acrobat, NetDocuments, Rippe, Workshare, ShoreTel, Drafting Assistant, iOS and various other office and legal-specific applications •Coordinate and conduct in-person and remote training sessions in a manner that is attentive, courteous, and adaptive to trainees •Anticipate training needs and research and design effective curriculum to address them •Develop training videos, intranet resources, quick reference sheets, and instructional emails to support learner retention •Develop and facilitate skills assessments for new hires and existing users to measure functional knowledge of the firm's staff •Develop training plans based on skills assessments and provide one-on-one tutoring to raise staff proficiency levels •Design and facilitate a comprehensive onboarding and training regimen for new attorneys and staff •Analyze Help Desk tickets and documented resolutions to identify areas for additional training •Coordinate with IT leadership to plan for imminent software upgrades and migrations, and to develop communication and training strategies for roll-out •Assist IT staff with projects, such as report design and template creation, to help drive user adoption of relevant programs •Assist IT leadership in designing and facilitating security awareness training •Periodically assist with Help Desk coverage during heavy call volume REQUIREMENTS: •Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience •Minimum of three years of related work experience, ideally with a legal/professional services firm •Energetic team player with exceptional customer service skills •Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with technical and non-technical staff •Ability to learn software programs quickly and then adapt that knowledge into relevant training curriculum •Willing to travel to the Reno office as needed for training sessions and onboarding of new hires •Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative
