Arconic’s Corporate Development Team is dedicated to supporting the company’s global vision, profitability and growth objectives through the leadership, management, and execution of the acquisition, divestiture and joint venture processes as well as supporting strategy development. The team members work with senior management and business leaders across the company to execute deals globally. In the last fifteen years, Arconic’s Corporate Development Team has negotiated and closed over 150 deals involving over $30 billion in revenues.

We consider the summer internship program an important opportunity to identify potential future leaders and provide candidates with experience in business processes and fast-moving M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) practices. The program offers interns the opportunity to be exposed to a myriad of project-based assignments during which they will learn about corporate development activities. Interns will work closely with senior members of the team and will be given mentoring and instruction that will help them with their professional development. This 10-week program is ideal for someone who is interested in Merger and Acquisition activities and a career in a highly respected corporation. Intern assignments can begin as early as May and traditionally run through August. The intern will be involved in active deal teams and assist transaction managers in evaluation and execution of transactions. Primary assignments will include:
  • Support the development of business cases and evaluation of potential transactions
  • Provide support with internal investment review documents for senior management
  • Perform comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
  • Coordinate with various resource units and business leaders in support of transactions
  • Potentially perform onsite due diligence and visit manufacturing locations
  • The position can be based in New York City or Pittsburgh
