Accountabilities:
  • Partner closely with study leads to assemble data and provide analytical support on new and ongoing projects (e.g., what factors influence employee retention, what small changes can we make today to avoid big talent gaps in the future, how are different team structures better or worse at driving business results). Activities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Methodology research and study design
    • Data validation and building data sets (e.g., data cleaning and variable creation)
    • Running descriptive statistics of key populations
    • Building multivariate regression models of time-series data sets
    • Identification, monitoring, and reporting of key tracking measures - post-project
  • Use data extraction tools and liaise with HR & business partners to collect and validate key data required for reporting and analysis - and ensure consistency of approach and metrics definitions
  • Perform analysis of relevant HR metrics to identify trends and insights around key workforce outcomes (i.e., turnover, diversity, etc.) which could impact business unit and/or enterprise level workforce planning
  • Financial analysis of investments needed to achieve human capital strategy
  • Effectively use HR and business systems to respond to ad hoc analytics requests
  • Conduct external research on talent trends, economic trends and analyze internal documents to identify talent needs
  • Interpret data and draw conclusions that influence business decisions


Qualifications/Requirements

Education
  • MA, PhD, or PhD Candidate in Business, Economics, Finance, Psychology, Marketing, Political Science, Sociology, Statistics, or related field
Work Experience
  • Work experience in database management and analytics preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Tableau or similar)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applied statistical techniques using SPSS/SAS/Stata/R/etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • No prior HR or HR-system experience required
