This position provides technology support to the corporate internal communications team. Employ graphic design techniques, web standards, content management best practices, and critical thinking to maintain the company intranet and other communications applications.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer and employee experience.
Coordinate with internal staff to determine scope of projects, inform design decisions, and support staff needs.
Employ best practice design techniques in the creation of website and email layouts and graphics that coordinate with the needs of internal business partners to enable more efficient interaction with associated business activity.
Analyze system requirements and existing business processes to continually improve the technology used to deliver information to employees.
Test, debug, document and implement changes to communication applications in conjunction with business partners and management.
Organize, manage, and maintain the corporate intranet homepage ensuring that all scheduled content is able to be viewed by employees.
Research, report and analyze web traffic information for the intranet, video, and email applications.
Find, research and suggest new technologies, processes and procedures that advance the communications and business unit strategies for employee engagement.
Obtain requirements for technology enhancements to create business, technical and functional requirement documentation.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with effective organization and prioritization skills
Ability to work indepentenly and maintain all confidentiality of information
Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.) with knowledge of the internet Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and other reporting tools
Experience using web design, digital imaging and multimedia software with experience in content management systems/or email marketing platform to post and maintain content and marketing and segmentation of audiences
Experience with developing creative, concise communications online for various audiences
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into straight-forward communications
Knowledge of and experience designing documents, web layouts, and interactive web properties
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Knowledge of cable television products and services
Experience with innovative ways to communicate messages to a wide set of audiences
Experinece with testing CSS, HTML and layout-driven Web pages in multiple browsers and providing technical feedback
Experience with providing creative and technical guidance on copy, imagery and video
Experience with business acumen that leads to good decisions
Knowledge of communications planning process and measurement techniques
Experience with applied use of brand management theories and brand management strategies
College degree in Communications, Marketing, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or related field; or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience
Related Work Experience Preferred
More than three years experience in web design, website/content management, web development or project management.
Exposure to moderate noise levels
