As an International Tax location leader and senior manager, you will be responsible for the following job duties, with support and assistance from national, regional and location leadership, and domestic & global subject matter experts:
Leadership & Talent
Lead and grow an International Tax practice group at your office location
Collaborate with national, regional, and location leadership in executing RSM’s International Tax strategy at your office location
Develop and implement an appropriate talent strategy for your location, including recruiting, coaching & mentoring, and retention
Ensure alignment with firm values and compliance with firm human resource policies and procedures
Technical & Risk Management
Advise clients on international tax matters including outbound, inbound, restructuring, cross-border M&A, and transfer pricing--making use of subject matter experts as appropriate
Develop, lead and manage international tax consulting engagements
Ensure that international tax consulting and compliance services provided at your location meet firm and professional standards relating to quality, risk management, and auditor independence (if relevant)
Remain current on relevant tax law, treaty developments and tax practice, as well as firm policies on tax quality and risk management
Business Development
Drive growth and profitability by generating revenue from new and existing clients, including cross-selling services
Demonstrate international tax expertise and represent RSM’s global service capabilities in the market, including serving on industry and pursuit teams, speaking at events, attending networking events, etc.
Develop relationships with international tax specialists in key RSM US domestic and foreign offices, as a basis for serving clients, providing and receiving referrals, and collaborating on global pursuits and initiatives
Develop relationships across lines of business to ensure excellent, integrated client service
Basic Qualifications:
CPA or JD
8 or more years practicing international taxation (outbound focus), including recent experience in a consulting environment, e.g., CPA firm, law firm, or equivalent
Working knowledge of accounting, accounting for income taxes, and transfer pricing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Leadership experience or aspirations
Available for some travel, including international travel (extensive travel is not a requirement)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (MST or LLM) in taxation, with a focus on international taxation
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience in the technology, manufacturing (including aerospace and composites), and/or life sciences industries
