POSITION SUMMARY:

 

    • Assist the manager of the Finance & Actuarial Program Management Office (F&A PMO) with the governance of strategic programs. 
    • This role provides exposure to project management, with responsibilities being a blend of 1/3 accounting and finance, 1/3 metrics and analytics, and 1/3 ad-hoc responsibilities. 
    • Assist the Data Mgmt Leads with the facilitation of meetings (helping keep notes, track attendance, pre-/post- communications) and support creation of artifacts
    • Assists the Business Management Office (BMO) with F&A Risk oversight communications, Business Continuity administration, SharePoint project work, communications program work, events assistance (Town Halls, etc)

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 

    • Project cost management - Compilation and analysis of financial data collected through various business applications; support to and analysis of the financial forecasts
    • Prepare status reports and update key performance indicators (KPIs) - Maintain project-related metrics for monthly reporting, tracking timelines, project risks and issues, labor reports, weekly backlog reports costs, etc.
    • Develop and practice skills in use of Microsoft Office Suite through development of Excel workbooks, pivot tables and data analysis and maintaining graphs; Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Visio through creation of Word tables, presentations, process workflows and training aids
    • Review annual Cost-Benefit Analysis documents for accuracy and completeness
    • Maintain Microsoft SharePoint site for various team areas

Desired Qualifications

  • Reconciliation
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Spreadsheet development using pivot tables and advanced functions
  • Prior Internship experience a plus
  • 0-2 years’ experience in accounting/finance with exposure to financial planning and analysis
