The Siemens Government Technologies Internship Program enables college students to explore stimulating career possibilities in the government contracting environment.As an intern of Siemens Government Technologies, you will be given individual and group assignments that are designed to provide you with experience in a corporate environment and develop your business acumen.
The successful candidate will work on our information security team and help review SGT cyber security solutions; assist in reviewing and documenting SGT controls in compliance with Federal/Industry Information Assurance standards and requirements and performing cyber testing/evaluation for resiliency under SGT Information Security Technical Lead's supervision.
The SGT IT intern will have an opportunity to learn more about industry leading security practices, security architecture, and vulnerability/remediation process in general. Once selected, the candidate will discuss his/her leaning objectives and career goals with SGT information security team and jointly develop the learning plan and on-the job training roadmap aligned with the goals and objectives. The performance evaluation criteria and standard will be developed based on "mutually agreed/executed" learning plan, objectives and goal discussions, and used throughout the candidate's internship with SGT.
Upon the completion of the internship, the candidate will gain the following insights and experiences:
- Cyber security key trends and industry leading practices
- Basics of Vulnerability and Remediation Management
- Basics of Information Security Compliance Audit (Federal vs. Commercial)
- How to develop a working relationship with Corporate IT
- Working with IT: Pros and Cons

- Rising Junior or above
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others on projects and assignments to achieve optimal results.
- Ability to quickly learn the SGT business and understand the value proposition to SGT.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs.
- Creativity in problem solving and alternative solutions.
- Proven ability to present information in both 1 on 1 and large group settings.
