Responsible for analyzing inventory levels and review demand forecasting by SKU chain and SKU location using statistical-based tools to maintain assigned department or category inventory levels, increase inventory turns, maximize fill rates, and minimize lost sales for retail stores and distribution centers. Monitor and analyze automatic or manually replenished items. Review sales trends and implement parameters to support seasonal / transitional strategies. Manage vendor relationships and analyze lead times for accuracy. Communicate and coordinate retail store and distribution center assortment changes with Merchandising, Store Planning, and field support offices.
Bachelor's degree in business related discipline (e.g. Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Finance, Statistics, Quantitative Business Analysis) or related experience. 0 - 2 years Inventory Management experience in a high volume, multi-location distribution environment or equivalent Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) experience. Solid statistical-based analytical abilities. Proficient knowledge of PC, particularly Excel, and database applications. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Basic knowledge of just-in-time inventory management / replenishment processes, preferably in the retail sector.
