Position Details: Position: Investigator - Loss Control Associate Location: Mount Laurel, NJ Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30AM - 5:00PM Pay: $14.50 Job responsibilities: responsible for the lifecycle of a claim after an initial investigation comes back, there are definite timeframes for different stages of the process, look at response from merchant in the system, yes or no, if merchant rejects the claim, will have to make a decision and go into next stage of the claim as appropriate. Must haves: • attention to detail • computer experience, multiple screens • documentation and reading/interpreting documentation is important • banking knowledge • recovery experience • able to work within strict deadlines Nice to have skills: • VROL- visa resolve online (computer system) • FIS network • Reg E claim experience • Visa or debit experience Summary: The main function of a Visa Recovery Specialist is the responsibility for controlling and minimizing losses through Visa Business rule via a review of eligible chargebacks, working closely with all departmental areas involved Job Responsibilities: • Will be required to take immediate and appropriate action on Customer accounts. • Reviews representments, pre-arbitration/compliance, arbitration/compliance and good faith requests received by Merchants on a daily basis. • Reviews customer relationship to determine risk of loss- take appropriate action by investigating documentation supplied by a Merchant and evaluate Customer account for a potential offset. • Minimizes loss by exercising right of offset or taking back previously provisionally credited items. • Communicates high exposure accounts to appropriate parties. • Works cooperatively with all departmental areas involved Skills: Prior Visa Resolve Online (VROL) and claims dispute knowledge is a plus. • Strong written and verbal communicative skills. Application of sound judgment and decision-making ability. • Ability to prioritize, organize and handle sensitive information with discretion. • Excellent organizational and collaborative skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to meet deadlines for item review and processing. • Ability to work independently and manage one's time. • Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed. • Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to Regulation E and Visa Business Rules (US). • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software. Education/Experience: • High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred. • 0-2 years financial and/or accounting experience required. with a knowledge of government regulations pertaining to Regulation E.
