Description: Job Summary:
This position will support all aspects of Technical Support. This job entails providing software, PC, POS. The candidate will provide technical support for development efforts and manage the POS system.

Qualifications: Communication

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Manage project goals, timelines, and deadlines
  • Communicate all aspects of project to needed parties
  • Maintain an organized approach
  • Implement metrics to evaluate personal and team performance
  • Identify areas to improve upon within team, self and WKU Restaurant Group
  • Implement plans for completion of special projects as determined by various business needs
  • Micros System Liaison with/WKU
  • Hardware troubleshooting and installation
  • Software programming
  • Report gathering and distribution
  • System Manager
    • Hardware familiarization, basic troubleshooting
    • Software Programming when POD associates cannot
    • Report gathering and distribution
    • Maintain relationship w/Corporate IT team
  • ARAMARK Computer & IT Equipment
    • Internal computer systems, email, server(s), and CC terminals general maintenance and upkeep
    • Install, implement, deploy and assist in use
  • Video menu boards maintenance and oversight
  • Kiosk System maintenance and oversight
  • Backup maintenance and compliance

Technical
  • Software technical support experience or training.
  • Windows 7 training and/or experience.
  • Supporting the Micros POS system on a daily basis.
  • Great troubleshooting skills.
  • General TCP/IP networking knowledge, and LAN skills.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in technical problem resolution, integration, support and training. 2 Year technical degree is desired but not required.
  • Experience with Micros POS systems is desired.
  • Candidate should possess experience with Windows 7, TCP/IP, and Web and Network LAN based systems.
  • Good working knowledge of PC Hardware and related peripheral integration required.
  • Experience in supporting a large (greater than 20) user base is required.
  • Experience in Windows operating systems.
  • Past experience with application support and installation is desired.

Associates Degree or Experience Equivalent
