Robert Half Technology is searching for a Business Analyst who is highly capable of and deeply passionate about understanding and translating customer needs into actionable development plans.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Applications this role will serve the entire enterprise by creating a bridge between all business units and information technology. While this role is located in Fernandina Beach, FL travel will be required regularly throughout the state of FL as well as quarterly trips to the company's HQ. With no Project Managers on staff this role will be dually responsible for multiple large and small scale projects simultaneously.
Our client is primarily a Microsoft environment however they have grown by acquisition and consider themselves a "company of companies" and often times do not assimilate technology environments. This role is designed to analyze processes and tools to help makes better and more efficient decisions per department. Each unit will be treated as its own with a goal to not just automate processes and track results but provide business units to scale with them. With that being said top technical skills we are seeking include the ability to work within a SQL database and have the ability to query and access data as well as build reports. This role can alternatively be viewed as a Service Delivery Manager as they will work with the end-result in mind, collaborate cross-functionally with all departments across the company and align with a future PMO.
Primary duties and responsibilities include: · Serves as a liaison and act as an interface between business units and BIS. · Able to design technical solutions meeting user needs. · Analyze business operations to understand strengths and weaknesses and determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. · Devise or enhances procedures to solve complex problems. · Manage projects. · Recommend method and procedural changes in accordance with Industry Best Practices. · Work with the BIS team to continuously improve environment and operations. · Has the ability to think outside of the box. · Experience in identifying, understanding and implementing Industry Best Practices. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Project Management · Must display initiative, be able to work independently and have good analytical skills.
Requirements: · 3+ years BSA experience · Exposure to project methodologies including but not limited to Waterfall, Agile, Kanban · Working with and presenting to C-Level Executives · Proven process improvement experience
