Medical Devices represents more than 60 manufacturing sites and 26,000 employees who plan, source, manufacture and deliver high-quality and cost-effective medical products to our customers around the globe each day. Work of the MD organization supports a multitude of product platforms, new products and delivery systems that are used in a wide range of procedures throughout the healthcare industry, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, minimally invasive surgery, hospital sterilization, clinical laboratory testing, diabetes management, joint replacement surgery and vision care.
The company is seeking a leader who has depth of experience in leveraging data to drive innovation in products and services. Knowledge of health care IT environment, technologies and connecting to enterprise-wide data backbone is vital. This role serves as a core member of the IT Medical Devices R&D Leadership Team.
We are looking for a leader who will be responsible for global vision, strategy and execution of unearthing value of data and information to further Medical Device R&D Innovation pipeline. Demonstrated ability to connect internal sources of R&D data with relevant external sources, setting up scalable data architecture model, delivering specific product enhancements or solutions in the market place is vital. Key responsibilities include identifying data access, assembly, analysis and drawing insights to drive innovation. This individual will work in partnerships with JNJ Medical Device Global R&D teams, external partners in Health Care IT technologies, service providers and data integrators to setup a scalable data model. This individual should possess strong ability to objectively conduct technology assessments, establish meaningful external partnerships and deliver results by leading targeted programs. This leader will work closely with Product Line Owners and Innovation teams in R&D-IT group.
Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or data sciences or engineering. A minimum of 15 years managing/directing large IT operation with a track record of delivering products or services required. Experience in architecting large scale data infrastructure by converging variety of sources of data; ability to objectively assess right technologies from partner companies and ability to generate right insights. A minimum of 7 years’ people management experience is required.
