The position manages functions and personnel in IT Service Delivery including Desktop Support Services, Server Operations, Network Operations and iSeries (AS/400) Operations. Duties include management, monitoring and operations of the following areas: IT Data Centers, LAN and WAN data networks, voice systems and equipment, cloud and on premise Windows and iSeries system operating systems, Exchange and Office 365 email systems; and computer operations. The Director of IT Services plans and coordinates IT related activities with business leaders, suppliers and Applications/Development groups. This role will focus on the planning, development and delivery of industry best practice operational processes and services based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework with emphasis on information security, adherence to policy and JSOX compliance and project management methodology. The director will produce metrics, report performance and hold staff accountable for service levels across all functions. Develop method for application, SaaS and infrastructure services security review prior to implementation or changes Manage and support the iSeries computing environment, including outsource services. Review, develop and improve operations practices, update documentation and train or change process to ensure compliance Provide information to ensure that stakeholders, end users, business relationship managers, and other technical resources are up to date on status of projects, plans and activities in areas of responsibility. Research, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives for areas of responsibility Assess, evaluate, redesign and recommend new technologies, processes and tools to improve services. Promote collaboration and communication with colleagues and staff. Manage, develop, coach and train IT professionals through goal development and direct intervention in daily activities. Develop operational reports and metrics to ensure a reliable computing environment in all areas of responsibility to ensure that in-scope services meet service level expectations and compliance with internal controls and processes. Promote root cause analysis for incidents and promptly implement remediation plans Develop, communicate and maintain business continuity and IT backup and recovery program and failover sites Maintain software license compliance on all servers on Windows Server systems, under control of IT in computer rooms, or in public or private clouds, operating under IT, workstation, desktops, laptops, including software patches and supported versions. Plan for updates, patches and software obsolescence.
