The primary responsibility of the IT Portfolio Administrator is to work with MIS Associates and Leadership to monitor, measure and report on MIS project status and process compliance. This will be accomplished by working with MIS team to monitor and improve the tracking and reporting of MIS projects, monitor and measure compliance throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), supporting and administering QC systems and tools, and developing MIS project and performance reports. The individual in this position will be in continuous communication with project leads and MIS management regarding project status.
-Prepare and analyze quality reports for Management review
-Ensure IT project process compliance through daily checks and monthly audits.
-Leverage technology to enhance audit efficiency
-Provide documentation and sampling for external auditors of the SDLC
-Responsible for documenting the SDLC processes
-Recommend improvements to existing processes and practices
-Administration and support of QA Tools used for the SDLC
-Manage process improvement projects
-Develop and execute test plans, test cases, test procedures and reports
-Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
-BS / BA degree or equivalent job experience
-2-4 years' experience in an Information Technology Quality Assurance environment.
-Proficient computer skills - MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, etc.)
-Understanding of technology (ie OS, database, app server, web server, network, firewall)
-Business process management/quality process improvement experience (Six Sigma and/or Lean) desired
-Software Testing Experience desired
-Demonstrate a practical understanding of IT principles, concepts, measures, industry best practices and standards.
-Basic understanding of the full SDLC (System Development Life-cycle) for both Agile and Waterfall.
-Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
-Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
-Must have strong research, analytical, and problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
-Must be detail-oriented with strong focus on documentation skills.
