Description: Provides application software development services or technical support in the Oracle E-Business Suite application. Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Codes, test, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technology, tools, etc. Coordinates activities with other IT organizations (e.g., data base, operations, technical support, etc.) Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.
Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant experience. Expertise in Oracle EBS (Financials and/or HCMS) technology is required. Oracle database experience is required.
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business Systems or equivalent area of study.
Possesses working knowledge in one or more technology environments. Applies technical knowledge under guidance and supervision. Implements modifications to existing systems, while maintaining (and developing) technical expertise and personal understanding of emerging technologies.
- Extensive experience in Oracle EBS technologies & modules (HCMS, GL, AP, AR, FA, PO, PA, etc.)
- Oracle Workflow
- Oracle Application Framework (OAF)
- Oracle BI Publisher - report development
- Experience with procedural programming in PL/SQL and Java
- Familiarity with XML data constructs
- In depth expertise in relational database concepts (data models, normalization, query optimization)
- Experience with SQL in Oracle database
- Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Resourcefulness - ability to solve problems and work independently
Can produce basic documentation of a new or proposed system, methodology or structure. Effectively contributes to project plans and work output of the group. Shares knowledge effectively within the work team. Customizes presentations to the interests of the audience.
Analyzes systems and processes from end to end, assessing how information/systems are managed and used from multiple perspectives. Frequently enlisted to address complex cross-technology and cross platform issues. Evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions. Designs projects with broad implication for the business and/or the future architecture, successfully addressing cross-technology and cross-platform issues.
