TEKsystems is seeking an IT Service Desk Specialist to join a team in Wichita, KS.

Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations

Ensure customers receive immediate and high quality customer service:
Receives IT related customer requests via phone calls, emails, voice mails and personal visits
Registers all requests through a call tracking tool
Performs first responder duties:
Utilizes previous experiences & knowledge tools to complete requests
As needed, escalates requests to 2nd level specialists or team leads and provides required information to ensure efficient transition
Escalates all other incident types to appropriate parties:
Gathers required information to ensure efficient transition to 2nd level specialists, IT Businesses or Product owners
Manages the communication of request status to the customers
Ensures requests are properly closed and resolution details are clearly documented

The Service Desk is a 24/7 operation. Interested parties must be willing to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts (weekend, on-call and Holiday coverage requirements as well).

Requirements

One Year experience in customer service delivery environment
Some experience in a computer services environment
Excellent customer service and phone skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Rational and organized approach to problem solving & performing research
Associated degree in MIS/CIS related field or equivalent work experience (preferred)
