IT Support Specialist

Our client is a fully integrated, global biopharmaceutical company developing innovative medicines for the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) diseases. The company has a diversified commercial product portfolio and a substantial clinical pipeline of product candidates for chronic diseases that include schizophrenia, depression, addiction and multiple sclerosis. The IT Support Analyst is responsible for performing the daily support of all internal desktop, laptop and mobile devices along with first-tier support for network and server issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Provide first level end user support
*Troubleshoot desktop, laptop and mobile device problems
*Assist with deployment of new user and mobile device accounts
*Responsible for additional tasks as assigned by IT management.
*Complete all activities in accordance with approved SOPs and IT guidelines.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
*Associates Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience.
*Previous experience in supporting desktop systems and mobile devices.
*Previous experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industries is desirable.

Knowledge/Skills Needed:
*Excellent troubleshooting skills and good problem solver.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Technical proficiency in the following areas: Windows desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, support ticketing systems, software installation.
*Knowledge of iPad, iPhone and iOS systems
*Basic understanding of network security and architecture.
*Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Cisco VoIP phones, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
*Must be a team player.

Personal Attributes Needed:

Strong focus on customer service. Quick learner and organized. Must be highly adaptive, able to follow instructions, work independently and function in a team as needed.
