FAMILY DEFINITION: From a network perspective, provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network. Installs, supports and/or maintains local (LAN) and/or wide area networks (WAN). Performs technical analyses of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations. Monitors data traffic and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission. Tests and analyzes network facilities including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers.
From a telecom perspective, provides centralized systems operational support, administration, installation and maintenance of complex enterprise-wide networks (e.g., telecommunications, UNIX operating systems, LANs, WANs, distributed processing and client server operations). Coordinates with clients, development area management and staffs, and vendors, the design and implementation of complex voice and/or data telecommunication projects which typically span multiple business functions and/or integrate both voice and data applications.
Manages Professional employees and/or Supervisors in a single or multiple IT FAMILY s or manages all aspects of a diverse IT project or multiple IT projects. Plans, designs, installs and maintains the system/services required to operate and support the business system(s). Responsible for establishing and implementing policies, procedures and priorities supporting the use and management of the system(s). Provides consulting services to the business units for the development and use of systems. Assist users to develop an annual information services plan. Identifies and develops with user input the requirements to assure continued, effective use of the system(s). Responsible that projects are planned, scheduled, monitored properly, and that effective communication with management to convey project status is conducted.
Responsible for providing day-to-day leadership for one or more functions within an IT department. Plans, assigns and evaluates the work of subordinates for effective operation and results.
Typically requires between 5 to 8 (or more) years of progressively responsible related work experience within a technical FAMILY
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree desirable.

I. Technical Expertise
Demonstrates thorough understanding of requirement specification, design, coding, structure, operation and testing of information systems. Demonstrates proficiency with one or more technology environments, and the ability to learn and apply new and emerging concepts efficiently. Tests, implements, documents, and maintains system components based on specifications. In more advanced technical levels within the band, the position demonstrates expert understanding in the IT Process, serving as a resource to others providing technical leadership in their area of specialization.
II. Industry Knowledge/Emerging Technologies
Builds and maintains strong working knowledge of the business area and the applications that support it. Develops a basic understanding of the industry and the products and services of ARAMARK. Has a solid understanding of how systems effect and benefit clients.
III. Communication and Client Interaction
Establishes clear objectives for departments, projects and/or team activities. Effectively relays individual role expectations and demonstrates interpersonal sensitivity within client interactions.
IV. Problem Solving/Decision Making
Analyzes systems and processes from end to end, assessing how information/systems are managed and used from multiple perspectives. Frequently enlisted to address complex cross-technology and cross platform issues. Evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions. Designs projects with broad implication for the business and/or the future architecture, successfully addressing cross-technology and cross-platform issues.
V. Project Life Cycle Management
Manages moderate to large sized projects, including those involving multiple technologies, significant operational or implementation risks, complex business functionality, and broad implications for the business and/or the IT architecture.
Drive telecom expense management efforts for wireline and wireless telecommunications services. Interface with wireline vendors to centralize all wireline expenses for the enterprise.
Lead efforts to reduce wireline spend by 27% over the next 3 years and create new opportunities for additional savings as telecom expense management matures across the enterprise.
Maintain wireless productivity targets and deliver new opportunities to grow this annually.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and identify opportunities that could result in savings for contracted services or services that require a new agreement.
Review contracts, establish standards and contractual terms for new services and renewals.
Work closely with TEM providers to ensure they are delivering accurate AP reports, pursuing credits and optimizing rate plans.
Continually analyze and audit wireline and wireless services with a focus on continuous improvement.
Considered as final escalation point for complex client, carrier and vendor issues. Reconcile major discrepancies/billing issues and pursue carrier and vendor credits as needed.
Identify SLA breaches and lead efforts to analyze potential overbillings.
Model and lead strong "Front Line First" service philosophy.
Drive strategic budgeting and recovery models to find additional savings opportunities. Align with Finance to review budget plan, monthly variances and project costs.
Provide leadership guidance that fosters teamwork and builds relationships across multiple departments.
