to work in its research laboratories in Spring House, PA. Janssen is the name given to Johnson &
Johnson’s global group of pharmaceutical companies. These companies market both conventional and
biotech products in a broad range of therapeutic areas.
internship is offered by the Oncology Therapeutic Area of Janssen Research and
Development. The Oncology Therapeutic
Area develops small and large molecule drugs for the treatment of patients with
cancer. The Internship Program is focused on providing college students with laboratory
based research experience in Oncology.
collaboratively with scientists in selected oncology research teams including
Translational Research, Immuno-Oncology, Discovery and Diagnostics.
mentored by an experienced oncology laboratory scientist with whom they will design,
implement and communicate a research project.
seminars and other scientific meetings in the Oncology Therapeutic Area.
must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor degree
in Biological or Health Science.
must be available to work full-time for the duration of the summer internship.
who have completed two (2) years of college coursework year will be considered.
must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require
sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the
must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
must be able to work individually as well as on a team.
need to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point, and
have strong oral and written communication skills.
