Position Description:

Janssen Supply Chain Information Technology (JSC IT) is looking for a Data & Analytics Product Line Owner who will be responsible for managing our existing global data warehouse strategy, to manage and lead the product strategy and direction for its portfolio of business intelligence and data analytics offerings.  This individual will work closely with the Janssen business leaders to define their information strategy, architecture and governance to transform our analytic capabilities for Ingestion, Transformation, Reporting and Data Storage.


The scope of the role will include the identification and deployment of innovative and flexible data analytics technologies to identify business insights to achieve our strategic Data & Analytics supply chain business objectives. The individual will collaborate with business leaders, IT peers, Product Owners, Application Services and Global Technology Services to apply Enterprise technology and development capabilities to deliver solutions that rapidly meet business needs. The individual will need to continuously drive maximizing throughput and ensure that the full business value is realized by the business through the D&A capabilities implemented. The individual will utilize a strong business acumen, strong teamwork, and excellent communication/information sharing to manage multiple priorities in a complex, high-profile, and rapidly changing environment. 


 Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and articulates Data & Analytics vision, strategy, goals and business value
  • Develops and delivers core capability offerings and new technologies to drive business value
  • Provides technology leadership to influence and apply enterprise architecture to accelerate our ability to meet current business needs, to scale and to adapt to dynamic business needs
  • Provides technology leadership in the areas of analytics ingestion, transformation and data storage to shape and design solutions and deliver effective user-centric and intuitive analytics tools and dashboards
  • Drive self-service analytics models and solutions
  • Ensure all enterprise IT programs and strategies are fully implemented and the IT processes are fully leveraged in the organization to ensure maximum efficiency – includes program management, investment management, and financial performance
  • Responsible for managing our existing JSC EDW (Teradata) platform, data ingestion, data modelling, and data visualization (Spotfire and Qlik) to improve business performance by extracting value from various source systems and transactions.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Data & Analytics team to leverage and refine the D&A Framework
  • Define the IT capabilities, build roadmaps, establish project portfolio, prioritize backlog and deliver the solutions utilizing an Agile delivery model.
  • Attract, develop and retain top talent and build high performing team and culture. 
  • Manage team of resources who work with the business to shape Data and Analytics requirements and deliver solutions utilizing Agile IT sprint cycles.
  • Map out complex business processes to serve as reference for development of analytics solutions and advocates for business process simplification where appropriate to deliver robust and cost effective solutions. 
  • Oversee progress of work in multiple Agile Scrum work streams.
  • Coordinate work streams, activities and initiatives across Product Lines as needed. 
  • Write, manage and clarify complex story points or assist Leads and Senior Analysts with the task.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met and oversee documentation activities and participate in compliance activities as required.
  • Ensure successful business product owner engagement and completion of user acceptance testing.




Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 6 years proven track record of complex program delivery required, and 3 years of proven experience in supply chain end-to-end initiatives is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory and people management experience is preferred
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industries with strong business acumen is preferred and Supply Chain knowledge/experience is preferred
  • Proven experience building and maintaining business warehouse and analytics capability required
  • Proven experience deploying business analytics tools, business intelligence and visualization solutions in direct support of business functions required
  • Must have demonstrated success applying data warehousing, visualization, advanced analytics, data cleansing, predictive analytics, data integration, semantics, structure, and data modeling to deliver insights with positive business impact 
  • Must have Agile experience preferred
  • Demonstrated Business Relationship management and experience partnering with operating company business partners to develop plans and deliver solutions required
  • Must have Project Management experience 
  • Must have the ability to solve complex business problems and communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to senior management effectively
  • Must be able to build strong partnerships, collaborate, and partner interdependently with key stakeholders to build strong relationships across IT and with suppliers, customers and business partners
  • Experience working with Application Services, Global Technical Services, key vendors, external partners, customers and data providers is required
  • Demonstrated working experience with advanced analytics, statistical analysis and predictive modelling is preferred
  • Applied experience with big data platforms, relational, data ingestion, and data transformation is preferred
  • This position may require up to 20% to 30% domestic and international travel 
  • Must have experience working with SAP ECC required
