Java Engineer wanted by GBT US LLC in Phoenix, AZ. Performs hands-on software development & testing; functions as a core member of an agile team driving user story analysis & elaboration, design and development of software applications, testing & building automation tools; performs ongoing refactoring of code & drives continuous improvement in code structure & quality; uses visualization and other techniques to fast track concepts; contributes to writing code, API specs, conducting code reviews & testing in ongoing sprints or doing proof of concepts/automation tools; owns a list of technical requirements that need to be included in product backlog based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects & issues; liaisons with technical product manager to help manage prioritization of items in product backlog for ongoing sprints; may be assigned to a specific platform/product permanently or be part of a dynamic resource pool that gets assigned to projects as they come up; identifies opportunities to adopt innovative technologies.

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Comp. Sci., Eng. or a rel. field plus 5 yrs. of progressive exp. in the job offered or rel. occupation. Must have 5 years of software development experience; 5 years of experience with Agile or other rapid application development methods; 5 years of experience with object-oriented design and coding skills across a variety of platforms (JAVA, SOA/Web Services, REST API, HTML/HTML5, CSS3, XML, JQuery, JSON, Ajax, JavaScript, and JMS); 5 years of experience working with GDS APIs Sabre, Apollo, Galileo and Amadeus; 5 years of hands on experience in XSLT programming for processing & transforming XML documents; 5 years of experience with travel technology industry; Advanced knowledge of responsive web design (RWD); Advanced knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, message queuing, and relational/XML databases; exposure to SQL/Stored procedure development & SSIS packages; ability to effectively communicate across third parties, technical and business product managers on solution design; ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems; ability to enable business capabilities through innovation; must be proficient in designing & developing high volume applications that process millions of transactions per day; possess a deep understanding of multi-threaded & asynchronous programming concepts; excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be proficient in Continuous Integration Continuous Development environment with advanced knowledge of Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus and similar CI tools; must have advanced knowledge of Unix/Linux commands, various application servers like IBM Websphere, Apache Tomcat & JBoss and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
