J&J Design is an internal design team responsible for creating desirable, feasible and viable holistic end-user solutions across all of Johnson & Johnson’s business groups: Consumer, Pharma and Medical Devices. In collaboration with business partners across the global organization, we apply design thinking to drive transformational innovation for the health and well-being of all who use our products and services. Industrial Design Internship
Industrial Design interns will gain experience in design development through production and participating both in ongoing projects as well as specific initiatives. The focus will be on packaging and device design through the lens of the consumer, patient or healthcare professional’s experience.
Environmental Design Internship
The Environmental Designer will assist with the creative execution of projects and initiatives; creating and expanding on key elements derived from the brand’s holistic vision as to how employees and visitors experience Johnson & Johnson spatially around the globe through the development and application of diverse touch points such as digital, exhibits, retail and environmental design, with executional excellence.
Graphic Design Internship
Graphic Design interns will gain experience in design development through production and participating both in ongoing projects as well as specific initiatives. The focus will be on packaging and device design through the lens of the consumer, patient or healthcare professional’s experience.
Insights Experience & Strategy Internship
As an Insights Experience & Strategy Intern, you will use synthesis, visualization and storytelling to help design and communicate experience strategies, enabling the organization to deliver people-centered solutions. You will frame learnings into simple references, reveal deep insights and enable the team to collaborate in envisioning the possibilities of holistic care experiences for Consumer, Health Care and internal solutions.
Digital Experience Internship
The Digital Experience Intern will participate and gain experience in product research, strategy, information architecture development, and interaction design to create and engage people. The role will make impact at many potential touch points such as a corporate website, software application, wearables and consumer electronics device.
Computer Generated Imagery Internship
CGI interns will assist and partner with the industrial design team to accurately render prototypes and new products. You will also assist the Imaging team to develop standards for renderings. Your assistance will aid the Imagery team to deliver outstanding product images that will be used to aid the design process and used in presentations, packaging, marketing and advertising.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B status).
Students currently majoring in design fields are strongly preferred.
Must be a rising Junior or Senior or in graduate school as of June 2017 to be eligible for an intern position in Summer 2017.
Candidate must be a matriculated student in an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree during the time of the internship.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
Fluency in basic design tools (Adobe, Creative Suite and Microsoft Office) are required.
