Manpower has an opening for a Junior Sourcing Specialist in the Grapevine area. This is a temporary position that will convert to permanent status after 90 days, with full benefits available at permanency. This position pays $20 dollars per hour, with salary exempt of $50K at hire. Candidates MUST have excellent Excel experience as most of the work will be done on this tool.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Creates Supply Chain plans to meet the needs of each potential sale. They work with Sales, Management and Directors to tailor programs specifically for each account.
2. Interviews suppliers and evaluates their products and capabilities as supplier.
3. Researches product lines, prices, product sources, and other relevant purchasing information.
4. Evaluates research findings and makes independent decisions on procurement matters.
5. Serves as a liaison between suppliers and co-workers.
6. Obtains price quotes from suppliers and compares quotes with the specifications and availability of items.
7. Organizes updates and retains product information files and back-up data.
8. Reviews contracts for change prior to bid or renewal interfacing with operational personnel as needed.
9. Renegotiates price increase markets and makes changes as necessary and appropriate.
10. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly, to provide quality procurement/supply chain information.
11. Establish and manage preferred and certified supplier relationships
12. Minimize/ Eliminate rogue spending and unnecessary spend with non-preferred suppliers
13. Understand Customer Service Level Agreements and Planning Processes to maximize Supplier negotiations in Cost Modeling
14. Establish and manage KPI's within the Organization
15. Reduce/ eliminate unnecessary freight and supply chain expenses
16. Identify and implement improvements to achieve cost savings
17. Support operational transition activities for all new acquisitions
18. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, increase turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly, to provide quality service
19. Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
o High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors Degree preferred
o Experience in purchasing
o Experience in a distribution environment

Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.

* KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
o The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, engineering documents and procedure manuals.
o The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
o The ability to speak effectively to co-workers as well as personnel for suppliers and customers.
o The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
o Good computer skills- Must have medium level skillset with Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Adobe-PDF
o May be needed to travel
o Additional language skill is a plus.
