Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Together with CDS kitchen team, collaborate, and construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
Answer, report, and follow CDS chef's instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Help oversee prep cook's duties and tasks


3-5 years proven cooking experience
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry's best practices
Culinary school diploma is a bonus
Culinary skills and techniques for preparing small and large quantities of food
Strong knife skills are essential
Ability to handle and prepare a variety of raw and cooked foods
Strong understanding and compliance with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
Potential for heavy lifting, may work on ones feet for up to 10 hours, work in loud environment
Must be able to work flexible hours, days, evenings and weekends
Attention to detail, motivated, and take good direction
Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work in a team environment
Must be positive, honest, resourceful, polite, courteous, and presentable
Available for the whole city duration
Must be 18 years of age or older
