The CareNow Urgent Care Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8am-10pm, Saturdays 8am-8pm, and Sundays 8am-5pm. You must have the flexibility to work during those hours.
JOB TITLE: Lab/X-ray Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Director of Training
The Lab/X-ray Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Training. Under the direction of the Lab/X-ray Supervisor and the Laboratory Technical Consultant Lab/X-ray Supervisor is responsible for training and compliance oversight of all aspects of the Lab/X-ray Department. The Lab/X-ray Supervisor will work within the lab supervisor team to prepare for and to facilitate state and federal lab and x-ray inspections.
The Lab/X-ray Supervisor will help maintain compliance and organization of the training program to meet the ongoing needs of the company. The Lab/X-ray Supervisor will work in conjunction with all departments to initiate and evaluate training opportunities.
-Hold POCT Training on a regular basis
-Give in-services when needed
-Monitor Lab/X-ray Technician's performance
-Assist Lab/X-ray Technicians with technical factors
-Assist X-ray Technicians with positioning
-Oversee new employee training
-Identify strong trainers to assist with training
-Identify strong QATs to perform monthly audits
-Conduct Train the Trainer classes
-Conduct BAT and Drug Screen classes
-Conduct Center Manager training
-Insure lab six-month and yearly evaluations are up to date
-Update training and training manuals as needed
-Monitor and uphold QA and QC Procedures
-Give Feedback on audits when needed
Quality Assurance Activities
The Lab/X-ray Supervisor will promote quality of care and patient safety. He/she must stay current with regulations and implement changes when needed.
-Identify problems, conduct QA and Benchmark studies
-Monitor and review dosimeter badge program
-Oversee regular audits and alert the Technical Consultant for problems
-Conduct Lab/X-ray Meetings
-Regularly scheduled Lab Gabs and Newsletters
-Address Lab/X-ray Department issues during meetings/newsletter
-Oversee Quality Assurance Team (QAT)
-Review new test kits and advise Directors on availability
-Monitor monthly clinic audits and report results to Directors
-Review and revise (if needed) QA plan
-Assist Direct of Training with overseeing the MRO department
-Become an active member of the TDL committee
-Practice, support and teach the Service Excellence program
-The Lab/X-ray Supervisor will facilitate and prepare clinics for inspections. He/she will maintain records of maintenance and insure equipment safety in all areas of Lab and X-ray.
- Conduct the Lab portion of the Center Reviews
-The Lab/X-ray Supervisor will support all departments. He/she will mentor new techs, NCT students, Quality Assurance Team, and clinic employees.
-Explore innovative ways to develop and promote employee loyalty, satisfaction, and retention.
-Support the Service Excellence Plan
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
-The Lab/X-ray Supervisor must possess minimum of two years urgent care experience working in the lab, x-ray or back office position.
-Duties will include auditing, reviewing, surveying and teaching. He/she must be able to drive to multiple locations and agree to accept clinic phone calls during clinic open hours.
-He/she must be proactive and able to work independently.
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-The Lab/X-ray Supervisor must be willing to build working relationships with the different departments and willing to teach and lead in all aspects of Lab and X-ray.
