Our team builds the Android version of the Capital One Wallet app. We love open source, automated testing and continuous integration. We have over 1 million downloads and we are pushing the boundaries of mobile payments: we were the first US bank to launch native contactless payments and we are proud to be rated as the best finance app by a US bank.
We are looking for passionate Android developers with 3 years of experience with the Android SDK.
Ideal candidates have a strong understanding of object-oriented design, utilize and contribute to open source libraries, write automated testsusing Robolectricand Espresso, and use GitHub for collaborative version control. Our mobile engineers are equipped with top of the line Retina MacBook Pros, 27" Thunderbolt monitors and standing desks in a modern workspace.
-Design and deliver awesome apps
-Write automated tests and embrace continuous integration
-Evaluate new technologies and stay abreast of best practices
-Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams
-Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions
-Coordinate coding, testing, implementation and documentation of solutions
-Mentor junior android developers
-Bachelors Degree or military experience
-At least 3 years of mobile development for native Android applications
-Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
-4 years of mobile development for native Android applications
-1 year or more of delivering Android applications to end users
-1 year or more of open source code contributions
