One of our client in Raleigh, NC area is looking for Lead Docker Engagement Consultant/Lead Architect to to accelerate client migration from traditional VM-oriented application deployment to containers. We are building and operating an enterprise Docker container-as-a-service platform based on Rancher and RancherOS. Our mission is to provide the best end-user-experience possible with customized platform capabilities.

The ideal candidate has a self-starter attitude and possesses a mix of technical knowledge and project management experience. A track record of delivering architecture and implementation for short (1-2 month) client projects, with the coordination of a larger team in an agile scrum environment, is essential to fill the expectations of this role.

Top 3 skills :

1) Experience in and Architecture/ implementation consulting role (specifically around deploying applications with Linux specific considerations such as Kernal, apk, etc..)

2)Experience building Docker Based architecture to productions (This is the container as a service platform they are implementing)

3)Experience with managing Project Scope and delivery timelines in an Agile/Scum environment.

Skills and Experience
*4+ years in architecture and implementation consulting role
*4+ years wrangling Linux Red Hat/Debian environments from the CLI
*4+ years advanced experience deploying applications with Linux-specific considerations
(e.g. kernel features/ glibc/ musl/apk/apt/compiling packages/ iptables/ filesystems/etc.)
*2+ years hands-on experience building Docker-based architectures in production
*2+ years managing scope and delivery timelines of project
*2+ years participating in an agile environment (Kanban or Scrum)
*Experience with Rancher/RancherOS a plus
*Experience with Kubernetes/ Mesos/ Swarm/Flannel/Weave/VXLAN/etcd/consul a plus
*Experience with alternative process isolation technology e.g. (zones/jails/etc) a plus
*Solid track record of managing customers in a demanding environment
*Very strong communication and collaboration skills
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Advanced degree in relevant field or equivalent education via career experience
