Role Summary:

The Lead Engineer - Testing is responsible for developing automated test systems for GE Train Performance products to ensure compliance to all standards, system requirements, and customer requirements. In this role, you will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and targeted company objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Develop automated test strategies to maximize ValidationTeam potential and efficiency.

+ Drive execution of automated testing to provide evidence ofcompleted Test Plan.

+ Drive execution of automated testing to provide evidence ofrequirements coverage and traceability.

+ Define, manage, and commit to all automated testing costestimates and schedule in the proposal process.

+ Maintain broad awareness of automation efforts within groupto assure technical quality excellence, accurate execution, and appropriate useof resources.

+ Report automated test related metrics on a periodic basis.

+ Define and develop a standard automated test strategy thataccounts for efficiency, coverage, reporting, and consistency.

+ Work with global teams to define global standards andachieve local goals.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

+ Must have a minimum of 5 years of simulation/automationexperience using NI-LabVIEW

+ Must have a minimum of 1 year of applied use of NI-TestStand

Eligibility Requirements:

+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We willnot sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for thisjob opening.

Desired Characteristics:

+ Strong knowledge of validation test execution, requirementstraceability, defect reporting, and automation concepts.

+ Experience creating automated applications using NI-LabVIEW

+ Experience creating automation test scripts using NI-TestStand

+ Demonstrated initiative, drive, leadership, communication,& interpersonal skills

+ Excellent leadership and communication skills

+ Experience in controls and software processes for FreightRail applications

+ Experience with Agile development principles
