The Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
+ Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
+ Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project
+ Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
+ Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
+ Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
+ Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
+ Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
+ Flexibility in schedule to work a 3rd shift position
+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of IT, engineering, scientific or other technical experience)
+ A minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering position

The GE Aviation plant at Peebles, Ohio is one of the most technically advanced test facilities in the world. There are eight test sites that conduct various types of military and commercial testing, including acoustic, bladeout, crosswind, icing, endurance, hail ingestion, bird strike, icing and performance. Peebles Test Operation conducts production, development and field engine return assembly and test work on the CF34, CFM56, CF6, GE90, and several military engine families. Peebles has 200 skilled employees and is recognized for its outstanding productivity and EHS record, including being named by GE The Americas Best Overall EHS Site for 2001. We are located on a beautiful 6700 acres in rural Adams County, which is the largest privately owned natural area in the state, with an active beaver and deer population. Peebles is located only an hour and 15 minutes east of Cincinnati and hour and a half south of Columbus. There are a number of parks, nature areas and tourist events in Adams County to enjoy as well.
