While SaaS solutions are becoming increasingly prevalent across industries, we believe that our target state architecture is truly unique in the breadth of use of these solutions and the degree to which standard, cloud-based services will be leveraged. In leveraging these solutions, we believe that we will greatly simplify how we deliver business functions within Brighthouse Financial. We will remain with vendors’ standard offerings, while at the same time benefitting from the ongoing innovation that those vendors bring. But while that simplicity should allow Brighthouse Financial to respond more quickly – and less expensively – to changing business needs, bringing together these services for supporting business functions requires that these solutions are well integrated and provide timely, accurate and reliable information to allow Brighthouse Financial to develop new capabilities and make well informed decisions.
The Lead Data and Integration Domain Architect is responsible for defining the enterprise data and integration architecture that will be the basis for all of Brighthouse Financial’s solutions. This individual is responsible for defining the data and integration architecture strategies, target states, transition roadmaps and ensuring their alignment with Brighthouse Financial’s enterprise business and application architectures. Ownership for defining the principles, standards and reference patterns for data and integration will reside with this role. Finally, this individual will be responsible for guiding solution architects and ensuring that solution architectures align with the enterprise data and integration architecture.
