THIS IS A REMOTE BASED POSITION
Abstracts clinical information from a variety of medical records and assigns appropriate ICD 10 CM and/or CPT codes to patient records according to established procedures. Analyzes, enters and manipulates database, confirms appropriate DRG assignments. Knowledge in ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding required.
5+ years work experience and leadership skills; Minimum 6 months medical coding and 6 months general clerical experience required; 10,000 Alpha Numeric and Numeric keying speed required.Critical Skills
IVR coding experience needed
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Group/Team leader position, all of the skills of a level 3 employee including filling in for Supervisor in their absence. Must be organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently and work well with others.
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience; CPC or CCS preferred.
