Role Summary:

GE Aviation's facility is Arkansas City, KS at Strother Field is seeking two Lead Manufacturing Engineers. These individuals will be deeply steeped in the manufacturing process to ensure efficiency, consistency and quality within the final assembly area of the facility. They will also help establish the manufacturing processes for upcoming products and their associated processes. One role will be for the first shift of the facility and the second will be for the second shift.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Enhance current manufacturing processes and develop new solutions in a team setting and based upon precedent within the organization

+ Works together with business leadership on appointed projects

+ Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done

+ Delivers products as part of a team

+ Works within and leads cross functional teams

+ Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing role / position or related field

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

+ This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
