Provides network infrastructure and network systems support to Panasonic under the direction of management. May provide guidance and direction for other staff.                                                                                                                                                                                                    
  • Provides leadership for those involved in development, design and optimization of LAN\WAN Infrastructure.
  • Gathers technical requirements and leads/participates in projects that require changes/enhancements to the network infrastructure, both from a design and hands on implementation perspective.
  • Develops and implements data center business plans, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains configurations of Cisco network switches (Nexus, 7000, 6500 series, 3850, 3650) and routers (2800, 2600, 1700, 1800).  Monitors health, creates and manages VLANS, toggle ports when necessary.  Administers port security and ACLs.  Performs IOS upgrades and bug fixes. 
  • Administers Cisco WCS, LAN controllers and access points.
  • Responds to network security threats and implements improvements where necessary.
  • Firewall/DMZ proficiency.
  • Reacts to network issues indicated by monitoring systems.
  • Proactively applies best practices to network design and implementation.
  • Provides server and client network support.
  • Creates, modifies, and maintains appropriate Network/Infrastructure diagrams and workflows.
  • Follows appropriate IT Change Management Process.
  • Establishes and supports communication subsystems, controllers/routes and lines as required including monitoring, configuring, troubleshooting and maintenance of network related hardware/software products.
  • Coordinates network and system related vendor services including the evaluation of their services and verification of completed jobs.
  • Responds to service request as assigned or directed or delegates assignment to junior levels as appropriate.
  • Must be willing and capable of gaining experience and increase ability in Cisco Systems, Windows Server, and other assigned network/infrastructure related systems assigned by Management.
  • Interprets and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.  Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.  Will initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems and a minimum of seven (7) years related experience with Cisco equipment and Cisco LAN\WAN solutions (CCNA required, CCNP preferred).
  • Proficiency with IOS.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark (packet analysis).
  • Knowledge of Solarwinds Orion or other SNMP monitoring package.
  • Ability to interface with end users to resolve problems.
  • Familiarity with a work order ticket tracking system.
  • Experience in a Fortune 1000 company environment preferred.
  • Must possess good ability with computer operating systems including hardware and software.
  • Leadership experience required.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio Drawing tool along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications and databases.
