The Scrum Master serves as a facilitator for both the Product Owner and the team for the implementation of an Enterprise Complaint Management Solution.   He/she will be managing ongoing relationships with the AS organization, Business Unit and Quality Business Partners.

  • Servant leader, who assure that team follows the rules of the Agile framework, helping them to meet their daily and iteration objectives
  • Responsible to remove impediments in the organization in order to keep the pace of the Scrum team, also helping to manage the teams relationships with outside stakeholders
  • Drive the Agile process and ceremonies as well as facilitate and conduct team continuous improvements
  • Coordinate solution implementation and delivery of the Scrum team, assisting the self-managing team to organize resources and accepted work
  • Challenge the team to implement team operational enhancements, encouraging and instilling process improvements
  • Serve as communication liaison between the team and Product Owner, System Architect, Release Engineer and stakeholders
  • Develop people through coaching and by fostering a positive work environment
  • Collect and report progress metrics on a regular basis
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies with team and product stakeholders, as well as work with Product Owner to facilitate product backlog grooming
  • Act as first level escalation point for project issues within the Scrum team, and navigate fluently in the organization to timely resolve the blockers
  • Ensure high quality deliverables and cost efficient for project execution

  • A minimum of a three (3) years of scrum master experience in fast-paced delivery environments (consumer internet or media experience a +) required.
    • Experience in a health care environment (Consumer, Pharma, Medical Devices) is preferred
    • Experience in specific applications will be required for some types of projects; examples include SalesForce.com, Integrations, and Business Intelligence/Data Analytics.)
    • At least one year experience with Agile Development techniques (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.) is required.
  • Two years of experience as a Certified Professional Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Master is required.
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year in for a software development team in a GxP environment that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory is required.
  • Strong Experience with Jira and Confluence is required.
  • Prior experience with other Agile tool
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Previous experience in delivering Agile Metrics
  • Previous of SDLC documentation experience is required
  • GxP software implementation is required
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
  • Excellent organization, planning and communication skills.
  • Proven experience working with and driving performance of cross-functional teams (i.e. development, product management, production, QA, etc.).
  • A track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Previous experience as a team lead is required
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • 10-25% travel required depending upon project assignments
Advanced Skills/Experience
  • Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II)
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
  • Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs,etc)
