Role Summary:

The Lead Sourcing Specialist - Logistics will lead the implementation and operation of Oracle Transportation Management and its interfaces across multiple businesses opting to utilize the system. The Lead Sourcing Specialist - Logistics will also standardize and improve key logistics programs, systems and processes across multiple businesses.

Essential Responsibilities:

The person in this role will ensure success of the GE Power Logistics systems by providing simple and efficient tools, continuously developing process improvements.

In addition, you will:

+ Partner with IT, Business Leaders, Freight Payment teams and other Functional/Technical teams to implement and optimize Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system and related processes

+ Partner with IT to maintain and, as needed, enhance legacy logistics systems including ILS and Freight Payment

+ Lead implementation of EDI connectivity between OTM and carrier base across all transportation modes

+ Collaborate with businesses utilizing OTM to define and publish logistics data and metrics, provide data analytics for the businesses and drive process simplification and continuous improvement

+ Ensure operational excellence with clear and concise documentation, efficient process and elegant interface design

+ Lead functional and IT teams in the design and implementation of system-related enhancements and modifications to existing transportation systems and integrations to support design requests submitted by businesses

+ Work with IT and Operational Teams to drive system-related defect resolution and elimination

+ Collaborate with new GE sites and business (i.e. ex Alstom sites) to integrate with OTM

+ Identify and lead opportunities for Digital Thread application between OTM and all systems, products and businesses interacting with OTM

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 yearsof experience in Sourcing)

+ Minimum of 3 additional years of experience inLogistics / IT Functional Project Leadership.

+ Demonstrated technical aptitude and business acumen

+ Working knowledge of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) System

+ Demonstrated aptitude with PL / SQL

+ Demonstrated aptitude with MS Office and XML

+ Proven track record of delivering results and leading teams in a dynamic business environment with limited day-to-day direction

+ Proven track record of process documentation and change control

+ Ability to effectively communicate and influence globally across organizational levels, departments, and functions

+ Financial acumen - demonstrated ability to perform accurate cost/benefit assessments

+ Proactive self-starter

+ High motivation and influencing skills

+ Strong quantitative and analytical skills

+ Willing to challenge status quo to achieve objectives
