343 Industries is growing its core systems and technology development team and is looking for an experienced lead to join us. Help us create, support and extend our low level systems and technologies and set the bar for technology within the Halo universe.

Responsibilities

As a the lead for the systems team you will be responsible for many of the low-level and widely used systems powering our engine and supporting our development team. Memory allocators, thread/job managers, file I/O, crash management, resource and object management, asset management and more are what we eat for lunch as our team keeps the lowest levels of the platform away from the rest of the team. You should feel comfortable with these kind of systems, and should have plenty of experience of building your own (or maintaining) engine.

As a lead of a Halo technology team at 343 Industries you will:

Manage and run a team of engineers
Plan and Develop technical roadmaps, technical documentation and help determine priorities
Ensure high quality performance implementations across the team
Develop implementation plans and software according to functional requirements & feature specifications
Consult on a regular basis with project leadership to align expectations and deliverables
Collaborate with technology leads, content creators, and other programmers to deliver new experiences, technologies tools, and features
Multitask between projects and teams fluidly

Qualifications and skills

Experience in technical leadership and management
Experience as a systems or engine developer for a current generation AAA console game
Experience developing on PC, Xbox 360 and/or Xbox One platforms
Solid engine architectural skills
Strong debugging, coding, and problem solving
Strong communication and collaboration
Ability to work on a large codebase and make wide spread changes
7+ years of professional C++ experience
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
