Learning Consultant

The Learning Consultant will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and sometimes facilitating learning and development solutions to support Associates in the Commercial Bank. This individual will partner closely with key business partners to translate business intent into engaging learning, with a focus (though not exclusively) on digital learning methods. This individual will analyze learning needs, design and develop blended learning solutions, and measure and report out on learning effectiveness.  S/he will work closely with teammates, leaders, and partners to script and create videos, design and develop e-Learning courses, virtual instructor-led courses, traditional classroom courses, and much more. 


  • Provide strong performance and learning consulting to senior leaders, business partners, and client managers when applicable
  • Represent learning in project efforts, ensuring an early focus on the implementation needs to ensure effective delivery in alignment with project timeline goals
  • Engage and lead team members on training projects to enable clarity of learning goals and plans
  • Partner with other teams, peers, or contract resources to support material development needs, as appropriate
  • Make solid decisions by identifying issues, diagnosing problems, generating alternative solutions and analyzing opportunities and risks
  • Apply needs assessment/analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills
  • Demonstrate solid understanding and proven application of adult learning principles
  • Determine and recommend instructional standards, strategies, learner engagement strategies, and evaluation plan
  • Design and develop learning content including (but not limited to) measurable learning objectives, facilitator and participant materials and tools, experiential scenarios and simulations, assessment and evaluation strategy and tools
  • Develop online learning solutions which are engaging and creative, while still maintaining the instructional integrity and validity of the solution
  • Participate in Train-the-Trainer activities
  • Facilitate training (classroom and virtual classroom) when applicable

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years experience in designing and developing training
  • At least 3 years of experience in business consulting
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management
  • At least one year of experience using Adobe Connect or comparable virtual classroom product

  • Master’s degree 
  • At least 5 years of expeirenc ein designing and developing training with an emphasis on relationship development and customer experience  
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services or technology industry
