Role synopsis
Learning Services (LS), part of Global HR Services, has established itself as the centre of excellence within BP in the provision of operational support for training events. The US LS team consists of 20 full time employee and contractors based in the Westlake Campus in Houston. Working in liaison with colleagues in the Logistics', Transition, Performance & Commercial Services teams in London, Budapest and Kuala Lumpur, it is responsible for all aspects of the administration and 'silent' end-to-end delivery of WHEM training portfolios which the LS delivers globally each year.

Supervised day to day by a Senior Learning Coordinator and reporting directly into the Service Delivery Lead, the role is responsible for the administration and end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of training sessions. The Learning Coordinator (LC) is responsible for ensuring that duties are performed to a high quality, within agreed timeframes, and through the application of LS standard processes.

Key accountabilities
  • Act as the 'Single Point of Accountability' for the end-to-end administration of a portfolio of assigned sessions. Ensure that session tasks are completed accurately, to a high quality and within pre-agreed timescales.
  • Ensure consistency of the learner and faculty experience through the clear and consistent application of LS standard operating processes.
  • Ensure that any issues which may compromise any assigned sessions are promptly identified, communicated and actioned / escalated as appropriate.
  • Responsible for ensuring the production of enrolment status report updates which are accurate.
  • Ensure that session information on BPs LMS (My Talent & Learning (MTL)) is updated accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Despatch of pre-session course work and joining instructions; the maintenance of learner attendance and training records, and the close out of sessions through the timely collection of event evaluation forms (MtM - Metrics that Matter & MTL)
  • Ensure that ongoing session changes are communicated clearly and promptly to faculty and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that learner queries are answered clearly, promptly and politely.
  • Establish sound day-to-day relationships with members of the Logistics team, LCs from other portfolios and regional delivery hubs, Onsite Coordinators and globally based local-contacts. Build positiverelationships with external vendors and faculty.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across teams to assist different portfolios at peak times.
  • Engage with the wider team, suggesting better ways of working, demonstrating a commitment to 'continuous improvement' and participate in relevant focused project work.
  • Provide onsite 'moderator' & first level issue resolution support to Group and Segment sessions delivered virtually via Adobe Connect & via High Definition Distance Learning (or other virtual technology)

Essential Education
  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent, relevant experience).
  • Numerate and able to convey written messages clearly with a close attention to grammar and spelling.

Essential experience and job requirements
  • Able to demonstrate problem solving and 'customer service' skills & experience (2+ years)
  • Proven ability to prioritise own work effectively in a busy, multi-faceted role. (2+ years)
  • Evidence of good communication skills; experience in tailoring messages as appropriate to different audiences. (1+ year)
  • A good level of experience in standard Microsoft Office Software packages.
  • Numerate with a basic understanding of data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience working with an LMS, Learning Management System, virtual training platforms e.g. Adobe Connect and other training enabling technology (1+ year) Experience would be beneficial nut not mandatory.
  • Excellent organisational skills; a confident and flexible approach to coping with fast moving, and frequently shifting priorities to ensure goals and deadlines are met.
  • Close attention to detail and a methodical and systematic approach to day to day work; ensuring the absolute reliability and integrity of your outputs and system updates.
  • A good level of experience in standard Microsoft Office Software packages.
