Plans and executes claims training and educational programs, including gathering and preparing all materials. Responsible for the delivery of claims training at the office or state level. Leverages technical expertise and adult learning skills to positively influence business results and outcomes.
Essential Job Functions
Actively engages in the delivery and facilitation of multiple disciplines, lines of business and leadership training. Plans the operational (short term) logistics of training delivery. Responsible for oversight of trainees for duration of training sessions. Serve as a resource to the Claims organization by observing, assessing and communicating the quality of leadership and culture in the claims offices. Partner with Claims Leadership and University personnel to coordinate continuous improvement initiatives. Interact with claims management to coordinate training schedule. Serves as Subject Matter Expert to support the creation and maintain relevancy of curriculum and programs. Conducts evaluations to analyze training activities, outcomes and make recommendations for improvement. Partner with Claims Leadership with the evaluation of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems, issues and trends for individual contributor or office level. Analyzes statistical and other information to develop a training solution based on business needs. Mentors, coaches, and develops others within the training delivery organization, including providing feedback and straight talk to t rainees, claims leadership and others within the University. Ensure training delivery is aligned with business strategy. Performs other duties as assigned
Four-year college degree
Minimum 3 years claims experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
Special Skill Requirement
Completion of, or actively pursuing a major insurance designation, or actively pursuing insurance or other educational courses related to position.
