Learning Manager

The Learning Manager at Capital One will be responsible for leading the Enterprise Learning team. In addition to leading team members, this individual will be responsible for training course facilitation, instructional design and consultation, as well as process and project improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching and developing Enterprise Learning team facilitators.
  • Leading the strategy for the Adjunct Faculty program and recruiting new members.
  • Leading the implementation of the Adobe Connect TTT program.
  • Leading the design and development of new instructor-led training and virtual instructor-led training courses.
  • Facilitating classes within the Enterprise-Wide Program portfolio; courses may be delivered through a variety of training modalities, including classroom, online, virtual, etc.
  • Shifting delivery style to meet the needs of the learner(s) by leveraging adult learning principles.

  • Providing classroom associates with in-the-moment performance coaching which is meaningful, actionable and specific to the associate needs
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of training courses and learning outcomes through in-session questions and feedback to define trends in content and delivery approaches and identify opportunities for enhancement; provide recommendations to course owners

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • Experience leading corporate training teams, working in a corporate training role, and facilitating training courses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor 's degree in Education, Communication, or Human Resources
  • At least five years of experience leading corporate training teams
  • At least seven years of experience working in a corporate training role or at least five years of experience as an educator in an academic setting
  • At least five years of experience in facilitating training courses
  • At least three years of experience providing coaching and/or feedback to colleagues
