MetLife seeks an experienced legal administrative associate for its in-house insurance defense office in Rhode Island. The office represents insureds of Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company and the carrier in civil litigation matters in state and federal courts in Rhode Island.
Excellent word processing and organizational skills are necessary for this legal administrative associate position in a busy litigation law firm.
Prepare and file pleadings in state and federal courts in Rhode Island.
Transcribe dictation and type correspondence.
File notes, memoranda, medical record summaries and other required documents.
Organize files according to attorney's direction and schedule events for attorneys and confirm those events.
High school degree or business school courses or relevant work experience required.
3+ years of relevant experience required.
Experience with a legal matter manager system, Excel and Power point a strong plus.
