The Legal Department is seeking a Litigation paralegal to help coordinate and support ongoing litigation, employment, regulatory and claims matters handled by the ligation section.  Responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks, such as the gathering and reviewing of internal records, responding to subpoenas and similar requests for information, document and discovery support and other legal litigation issues. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work effectively across different sections of the Legal Department.




* Assists attorneys with cases and legal matters; coordinates information, correspondence and files for assigned attorneys

* Conducts research of increasing complexity (primarily factual, sometimes legal); analyzes findings and prepares written or oral summaries for attorneys’ use.  May interview clients for fact- gathering; may discuss issues with clients relating to facts

* Responds to requests from clients, external examiners, governmental agencies, regulatory authorities and/or other parties to lawsuits

* Responds to third-party subpoenas

* Assists with the issuance of litigation hold notices and e-discovery

* Prepares reports for management

* Creates and maintains files and databases

* Develops materials for meetings

* Coordinates and communicates with outside counsel

* Drafts and finalizes legal documents incorporating attorney comments 



  • Undergraduate or Associate’s Degree highly preferred
  • 4+ years’ experience  in either law firm or in-house legal department
  • Able to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments and prioritize.
  • Experience in reviewing records for privilege and responsiveness.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in using computers and software, including  Microsoft Office Application (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
