This position is responsible for loading and delivery of new product to OEM's, as well as providing support for the production line.
Deliver OEM specific generators and accessories
Determine load assignments and procedures
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, semi-tractor and box truck
Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids and boxes and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas
Follow environmental, safety, and health procedures through Kaizen work and daily housekeeping
Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
Read and interpret maps in order to determine vehicle routes.
Demonstrate safe and defensive driving behavior at all times.
Report vehicle effects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
Local Driver's License Required
Class A CDL Required
High school diploma or GED Required
Previous experience in transportation procedures required
Previous industry experience preferred
Meet DOT physical requirement
Possess excellent verbal and written communication.
Training and experience driving commercial vehicles on local city roads.
Excellent driving record for both personal and work-related driving.
Must have, and maintain a good driving record and CDL license.
Understand and model Cummins values.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever changing environment.
