Concord Corporate office for a Packaging and Distribution company is looking for a Project Assistant in their Logistics Dept. This position provides overall support to the logistics team by operating TMS systems, generating and providing shipping documents, responding to inquiries from internal personnel regarding shipment status, communicating with carriers, measuring carriers and preparing providing activity logs. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to any of these functions and responsibilities as required) Prepare and send load tenders to shipping carriers utilizing TMS system. Enter and print bills of lading for carrier shipments, and provide to shipping. Oversee the timely pickup/delivery of goods. Maintain delivery schedules and track deliveries to ensure deliveries are met. Update and provide tracking information to customer service/manager. Handle customer complaints, and investigate delivery issues (Include damaged products and late or lost deliveries). Effectively manage the timely flow of order processing with safety, efficiency and customer service. Ensure all deliveries are cost efficient - negotiate and load up where possible. Arrange logistics for outbound customer orders. Verify shipped order compliance with customer purchase order and ensure updates are in TMS Generate shipping documents including BOL and Sales Contract. Work closely with delivery companies to maintain efficient delivery windows and monitor execution daily. Monitor the entire process of product movement. Responsible for the timeliness, accuracy and appropriate escalation of orders. Ability to manage a high volume of emails on a diverse set of topics. Analyze efficiency of current lanes and modes of transportation to increase profitability Working with different departments internally to align goals and strategies Occasional overtime will be required at the discretion of management. Proven ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities 12. Strong technical skills in data management 13.
