Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting experienced candidates for a Direct Hire Logistics Supervisor job in Dayton, OH with one of our top clients. The Logistics Supervisor will manage the movement of products in and/or out of the country in accordance with company policy and procedures and comply with relevant local, country and international law and process.
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvement for export, import, logistics.
Duties include being responsible for fulfilling export/import requirements to ensure US government compliant shipments to/from foreign customers.
Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in import/export activity and procedures.
Liaise with international and domestic transportation companies and create a good working relationship.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to inbound shipments or outbound shipments related to carrier pick-up.
Prepare export documentation (e.g. commercial invoices, packing lists, SLI's, EEIs, NAFTA C/O, Quality/Compliance certificates, AWBs) and all other required documentation related to specific country requirements as indicated by the EAR and ITAR.
Provide support to both internal and external customers as required.
Develop, implement, and ensure proper procedures are followed to ensure shipments will be processed, moved, and transacted with the highest level of accuracy.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Export Certification: CUSECO preferred
2 years of Export experience required
Min. of 1-3 years of supervisory experience required
Knowledge of Oracle, knowledge of Order Management/Export Oracle modules is highly desirable
Understand HTS, Schedule B tariff classification, ECCN classification, license determination,and NAFTA
Be able to qualify products for various free trade agreements
Prepare export documentation (e.g. commercial invoices, packing lists, SLI's, EEIs, NAFTA C/O, Quality/Compliance certificates, AWBs) and all other required documentation related to specific country requirements as indicated by the EAR and ITAR
Understanding of IATA regulations
Understanding of C-TPAT/AEO certification
The salary for this position is based on experience and qualifications 45k to 55K+ annually. This is a day shift position- 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
