  • Properly operate one machine following proper procedures and work guides (Operation of machine could include punch, press, laser or bend break machines)
  • Achieve ACE associate level in two (2) years maximum
  • Comply and follow all EH&S policies and regulations including ensuring proper PPE is worn at all times
  • Interpret drawing requirements and make coupons as necessary to ensure the quality of machine operations
  • Comply with critical to quality & critical to safety requirements as specified
  • Ensure that work area remains clean and free of debris by utilizing the ACE 5s principles
  • Understand implications and impact of visual factory. Be able to maintain and sustain visual factory without direction from supervisor
  • Use appropriate dimensional tools as needed throughout the operation of machine
  • Understand tool life and be able to notify maintenance as necessary for tool repair / replacement
  • Understand and utilize ACE tools and processes to promote continuous improvement

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Knowledge of arithmetic and its applications
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of ACE principles and application
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Skilled in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Skilled in the ability to speak directly with others to convey information effectively and actively listen to instruction given to understand information and ideas presented to effectively carry out daily operations
  • Skilled in using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles)
  • Skilled in adjusting actions in relation to others' actions
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Skilled in using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things
  • Skilled in inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
  • Skilled in identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events
  • Skilled in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
  • Skilled in monitoring/assessing performance of yourself to make improvements or take corrective action
  • Skilled in watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly including controlling operations of equipment or systems
  • Skilled in conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Skilled in understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Communicating with Supervisors and Peers - Providing information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
  • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position
  • The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
  • The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
  • The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
  • The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion
  • The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  • The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
  • The ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath
  • The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
  • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing
  • The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
